ESPN UK is set to air the 17th series of the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s long-running reality show: The Ultimate Fighter. The highly anticipated series will be headed up by UFC champion Jon “Bones” Jones and Chael Sonnen, who will lead two teams of seven Middleweights in the hope of winning a coveted contract with the UFC.
The two hour premiere will see 28 mixed martial artists battle it out for one of the fourteen spots on the show.
The first episode will air at 1am on Tuesday 22nd January and continuing every Tuesday night (typically 2am, though times may vary - check listings) with repeats shown on Wednesday evenings at 10pm (with exception of the first episode, which will be repeated Thursday 24th January at Midnight).
The show will run for thirteen weeks and conclude with a three hour final live from the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The coaches will then collide for the light heavyweight title on Saturday 27th April at UFC 159: JONES vs. SONNEN
